Link your WhatsApp

Connect your own number so a Human review step can reach you on WhatsApp.

Linking your WhatsApp lets a workflow's Human review step reach you there, so you can approve, reject, or answer a question without opening Contrata.

  1. Go to Settings → Account Settings.
  2. Under WhatsApp, select Link WhatsApp.
  3. Scan the QR code with your phone, or select Open WhatsApp if you're on mobile.
  4. Send the pre-filled message without editing it — Contrata links your account as soon as it arrives.
NoteThe code in the message expires after a while. If it does, close the page and start again — nothing is linked until you send that exact message.

Once linked, your masked number appears under WhatsApp with Receive messages switched on.

Turn off Receive messages to stop workflows reaching you there without removing the link entirely, or select Unlink to remove it completely — you'll need to link again to re-enable it.

Common questions

Does everyone need to link their own WhatsApp?

Only if a workflow might contact them there. Linking is personal — your number is only ever used to reach you, not anyone else.

What if I close the page partway through linking?

Closing the linking page doesn't cancel the code — if you send the message afterwards, your account still links.
